What do you really need to do to be successful online
Getting traffic, getting sales, that's the holy grail of being an online success. But if you've ever made a website, a Youtube channel, a Facebook page, or a Twitter account you've probably noticed one thing on all of them, you're completely invisible. No traffic, no sales, no engagement 0. It doesn't matter what platform you're on if no one knows who you are or is looking for your content then you're invisible to the world.
So how do we fix this, well if we focus on websites the advice there is to focus on low-competition keywords. A good way to find these is to go to google and type in allintitle:"KEYWORD". There you will find search results for about 5 to 30 results with that keyword in the title. Then you just need to rank for that keyword. Sounds easy right? it's not that simple, unfortunately. That keyword has to have some kind of search volume and if it's not at least within 1K to 10K searches, you're probably not going to get any traffic. The other side of that is site recognition, if people search for a website and they see yours, they probably won't click on it if you're an unknown to them. Google is arguably flooded with garbage and people see that every day. How are you going to stand out from the trash?
The trick is you have to know what people are looking for. To generate an audience you have to be known for something and people have to know they can trust what you say. So when you're sharing details about a product people need to know that they can reliably use that information. If you can become known for giving good information about things people are looking for people will tend to gravitate towards you when they need information. A good example of what I'm talking about is to think of yourself as an Information broker. If the info's good people will come back to you when they need more information. Basically, become the guy people go to when they need something and provide that as a service.
When you first get started online your basically going to be invisible but as you post more and people see your content more often you'll gain a small following. You just have to know how to attract that attention to your content and get seen.
